Helping Church Leaders Develop Worship for All Ages

Cultivating Intergenerational Worship book cover

Developing Corporate Worship for All Ages

Cultivating Intergenerational Worship (GC2 Press, 2022) is a Scripture-based, practical guide for building corporate worship that engages every generation — not by adding a program, but by developing an intentional plan rooted in who the church is called to be.

Drawing on my doctoral research on choral ministries in intergenerational churches and more than two decades of local church worship ministry, the book walks through the biblical foundations of all-ages worship and the practical steps to get there: gaining leadership buy-in, selecting music across generations, building intergenerational teams, and creating a culture where every member — regardless of age or ability — is valued and invested in.

Who it’s for

Current and aspiring worship leaders, worship teams, pastors, and church staffs who want to develop a unified corporate worship mindset in their local church — whatever its size or worship style.

What leaders are saying

Monte Nichols, Worship Pastor at Johns Creek Baptist Church, praised the book’s case — even plea — for the church to come together as one body, worshiping with one purpose and one voice. Rhon Carter, Worship and Music Catalyst for the Georgia Baptist Mission Board, commended its encouragement for music ministries to invest in every generation.
